NATIONAL SIGNING DAY
OVERVIEW

The National Signing Day Picture Has Been Dramatically and Drastically Changed in The Last Few Years. Forty Years Ago, When I Was Completely and Totally Involved in The National Signing Day Event, The First Tuesday in February Was National Signing Day. They Later Changed it To Wednesday, but This Day Was Designed To Give The BCS College Football Teams To-Be Able To Sign All of Their Players That Would Be Able To Help Their BCS Team To Win The National Championship. This National Signing Day Was Designed To-Shape All BCS College Programs.

Although They Changed The National Signing Day To The First Wednesday in February, It Still Was The Day When All of The BCS College Programs and Teams Were Shaped. Now, However, This National Signing Day Program Has Been Altered Dramatically, as This First Wednesday is a Day For Allowing Their Early Signees in December To-Sign Their Letter of Intent.

In Over 45-Years of Covering The National Signing Day, I Have Never Seen The #1 Team So Close Between The Georgia Bulldogs, The LSU Tigers, The Alabama Crimson Tide, The Clemson Tigers, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Image result for Aril Gilbert Photos

This Incredible Georgia Athletic Tight End and Defensive End Arik Gilbert (#2} Might Be The Greatest Tight End in The Country, on Any Level, as He Caught an Unbelievable and Incredible 102 Passes For 1,735-Yards and 14 Touchdowns and Led His Marietta, Georgia High School Football Team To a 13-2 Record and The 2019 Georgia 7A State Championship. Arik Gilbert Was Honored By Gatorade as Not Only The 2019-2020 Georgia Gatorade Player of The Year; But Also The 2019-2020 National Gatorade Player of The Year, as The Very Best of The Best Athletes in The Country.

On One Friday Night, This 6-Foot-6, 255-Pound Tight End Made 15 Pass-Catches For 295-Yards and Five Touchdowns, as He Raised His Play at Receiver After an SEC-Bound Teammate Was Injured and Had To-Leave The Game. As a Junior, Gilbert Recorded 88 Pass-Catches, 64 Tackles, and Forced 2 Fumbles; While Playing Both Ways. He is Possibly The Only Athlete in History To-Make 88 Pass-Catches; While Playing Defense Inside The Box.

Oh Yeah! Arik Gilbert Has Also Been Compared To Former NFL #1 Draft Choice DE Jadeveon Clowney (6-5, 255, 4.41) of The Houston Texans and Currently With The Seattle Seahawks; and Gilbert Also Could Become a #1 DE Draft Choice, as Well as Becoming a #1 TE Draft Choice. This Guy is a “Real Super Freak” As He Is a Ready-For-College Prospect With The Unbelievably Rare Combination of Size, Speed, and Incredible Athleticism. He was Also Incredibly Productive at Marietta High School and He Will Also Be a Nightmare Mismatch For SEC Defenders Trying To Tackle Him When He Catches The Football At a Flex Tight End For The LSU Tigers.

Gilbert Will Miss The LSU Tigers Potential Spring Training Camp Practices as He Recovers From a Shoulder Surgery, But With a Strong Summer and Excellent Fall Camp Practice, He Will be Ready For An Immediate Impact.

Gilbert (#5) Chose The LSU Tigers Over College Football Powerhouse Team And Was Allured To The Tigers With Their Record-Setting Offensive Performance in 2019. “Arik Gilbert  Will Fit Into Our System at Tight End, But He Can Also Play The X and Z Positions at Wide Receive Like Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson Played Last Season,” Said Coach Ed Orgeron.

With Super-Star Tight End Thaddeus Moss Gone To The NFL, The LSU Tigers Will Find a Way To Replace Their LSU Tigers Single-Season Record-Holder  For Pass-Catches By a Tight End. Ironically, Arik Gilbert, Who Is The Highest Ranked Tight End In High School History Is Already On The LSU Campus As an LSU Early-Enrollee and He Is The LSU Projected Starting Tight End. Gilbert Will Often Be a Flex Tight End, As The LSU Tigers Coaching Staff Finds Various Ways To-Create Mismatches.

Image result for Kayshon Boutte Photos

The 2019-2020 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, By THE LSU TIGERS, Enabled The Tigers To-Sign The #1 Tight End In The Country in Arik Gilbert; The #1 Cornerback In The Country in Elias Ricks; The #1 All-Purpose Wide Receiver In The Country in Kayshon Boutte (#1) and Two of The Very Best Edge Rush Ends In The Country in B.J. Ojulari and Phillip Webb.

In Fact, The Situation On Offense For The LSU Tigers is Phenomenal, Because If You Combine Arik Gilbert and Kayshon Boutte With The All-American Fred Biletnikoff Award Winner Ja’Marr Chase and Terrance Marshall; Who Are The Defenders That Are Going To Cover Them? Also Keep In-Mind That It is Virtually Impossible For Opposing Defenses To-Cover Any One of These Four Incredible Athletes!

The Big Question For Boutte, Going Into The National Signing Day Was if He Would Keep His Verbal Commitment to The LSU Tigers or go to The Alabama Crimson Tide Instead, But He Kept His Verbal Which Was Never In Doubt. “I Knew That The LSU Tigers Was The Best For Me and I Always Knew That LSU Was Where I Wanted To-Go and Where I Belonged,” Said Boutte.

“Kayshon is a Special Talent and a Special Kid,” said New Iberia Westgate Head Coach Ryan Antoine. “When He Came into Our Program Four Years Ago, We Sat Down With His Parents. We Had a Dream and a Vision of what he Could Become and It Was Phenomenal For Him To Surpass All Of Those Dreams. It’s Special For Him and Our Program and I’m Excited for Him.”

“When Kayshon Got to This Team, We Were 0-10,” Coach Antoine said. “To Leave as a Senior Having The Most Victories in School History, a Districh Championship, a Quarterfinal Game and Participating in The Under Armour All-American Bowl Game. I’m going to say That Kayshon Is The Best Athlete That has Ever Come-Out of New Iberia, but Definitely Westgate High School.”

“The Crazy Part About Kayshon is that He is Only 17-Years Old. I think He Is Just Scratching The Surface of how Good He Can Be. I Think He Has Already Been Compared To Both Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry.”

In a Friday Night Game Against Teurlings Catholic, Boutte Was Incredible and Unstoppable as He Recorded Over 300-Yards of Total Offense and 5 Touchdowns. The Rebels Could Not Even Slow Him Down, No Matter Where He Lined-Up, as He Rushed For 3 Touchdowns, Had 1 Pass-Catch For Another Touchdown, and Returned a Kickoff 97-Yards For Another Touchdown. Boutte Did Most of his Damage on the Ground, as He Rushed For 235-Yards, as He Rushed For Over 50-Yards on All Three Touchdowns, But He Also Returned The Kickoff 97-Yards For Another Touchdown in The 52-25 Victory.

As a Senior, Boutte Rushed For 874-Yards on 71 Carries and Twelve  Touchdowns; While Catching 47 Passes For 1,005-Yards and 15 More Touchdowns. On Kickoffs, Boutte Returned Kickoffs For 282-Yards and Two Touchdowns and He Returned Nine Punt Returns For Another 198-Yards and One More Touchdown; Giving Him 2,359-Yards of Total Offense and 30 Touchdowns and an 18.3-Yards Per Touch.

The LSU Tigers
Signed Even Another Incredible Player Who Is Highly Under-Rated By The Various Recruiting Services and It Is Really Amazing, Because He is A Super Freak, and One of The Greatest Running Backs That I Have Ever Seen on His Highlight Film. This Spectacular Player is an Incredible, Speedy Track-Star and Running Back From Lancaster, Texas Named  Kevontre “Tre” Bradford (#2).

On His Unbelievable Highlight Film, I Was Astonished With All Of His Long Touchdown Runs. There Were So Many, I Could Not Even Count Them All and Every One of His Long Touchdown Runs Were Basically Untouched.

His First Touchdown Was a 68-Yard Run, Untouched, Straight “Up-The-Middle” Against Independence High School. On His Second Highlight Film. Bradford Raced Around Left-End and Beat All of The Defenders To The Sideline, and Then Raced 70-Yards, Untouched Down-The-Left-Sideline For The Touchdown. Then, On His Third Play, He Took a Quick-Handoff, and Again Raced “Up-The-Middle” Untouched For a 51-Yard Touchdown, Against The Colony High School. Have You Heard Enough?

I Won’t Detail The Next Long Touchdown Runs, but They All Were Untouched Touchdown Runs and They Included 80-Yards, 90-Yards, 55-Yards, 75 Yards, Two 55-Yards, Another 75-Yarder, and Another 50-Yarder. On Top of All of These Incredible Plays, Bradford Also Lined-Up At Wide Receiver In The Left Flat, Ran a Quick Slant, and Caught a Pass “Up-The-Middle” Untouched For 55-Yards, and In The Right Flat, Caught a Quick Pass and Raced 30-Yards For a Touchdown, and Still Another In The Right Flat and Raced Another 65-Yards Down The Right Sideline, Untouched, Into The End-Zone. Folks! That is 10 Long Touchdown Runs and 3 Pass-Catches For Touchdowns. Nuff Said!

This Guy Had Over 30 Scholarship Offers, Including LSU, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Florida State, Houston, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, ULL, Missouri, Morgan State, Nebraska, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU, Syracuse, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Southern Cal, and Utah.

“Tre” Bradford is an Unbelievable Real Total Freak, and I Am Sorry, But There is Absolutely No-Way That This Guy is Not a Five-Star Rating by The Various Recruiting Services. On My MEARS RATING SYSTEM, Bradford Rates Off Of The Charts and Since He is A Great Receiver, He Also Could Become a Potential Slot-Receiver. All His Measurable Are Below The Running Back and Wide Receiver Standards, Giving Him Maximum Points in Every Measurable.

Bradford Was Also a Track Super-Star and He Used His Great Track Speed For Several Track Records. He Helped Lead His Lancaster Track Team To The Texas State Track Meet in Both The 4 x 100 Relay and The 4 x 400 Relay. His 4 x 400 Relay Broke a School Record With an Incredible 3:20.11 Clocking. Using His Spectacular Track Speed Enabled Bradford To-Be Able To Score on Every Single Play as He Used His “Top-End-Speed” as an Incredible  Difference-Maker.

After Reviewing These Two Super Freak Tight Ends, Two Super Freak Wide Receivers, and a Running Back Super Freak, All of You “Hardcore” LSU Tiger Fans Need To-Start Gearing-Up and Getting Prepared For At Least One and Maybe Two of The Most Impressive and Most Talented Quarterbacks Staring-At Being The LSU Tigers Starting Quarterback as a True Sophomore, as Super Southpaw Max Johnson (#14) and Gigantic Giant T.J. Finley Are Those Two Super Freshman Quarterbacks, at This Point.

The Southpaw Quarterback Max Johnson and Super-Star Tight End Kole Taylor Reported to The LSU Tigers Campus On Thursday, January 2, According To LSU Tigers Head Coach Ed Orgeron. Johnson (6-4, 211) From Watkinsville Oconee County, Georgia, and Cole Taylor (6-7, 232) From Grand Junction, Colorado Joined Giant Quarterback T.J. Finley (6-6, 257) From Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Who Had Already Enrolled Two Weeks Earlier.

There Have Only Been Six NFL Players In History To Complete At Least 60% of Their Passes For 13 Straight Seasons and Five of Them Are Obvious, Including Tom Brady, Dree Brees, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, and Aaron Rodgers. The Sixth NFL Quarterback is The Dad of Max Johnson, Brad Johnson, Who Was The Very First Quarterback To Accomplish This Incredible Feat Between 1995 and 2007. Brad Johnson Also Played in Two NFL Pro Bowls With The Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brad Johnson Also Led The Bucs To The Super Bowl XXXVII Championship and Played For The Minnesota Vikings and The Dallas Cowboys.

And Why is This Important To The LSU Tiger Fans and The Answer is That Brad Johnson Has Been Max Johnson’s Coach For 18 Years and It Is Safe To Conclude That Coach Brad Johnson Knows How To Make His Son Highly Successful as a Signal-Caller, and Has Prepared Him To Compete For The Heisman Trophy Award.

Every Football Fan in America Realizes That The Most Important Asset in Competing For is Being in The Right Passing Offensive System and Everyone, Including Both Max and Brad Johnson Are Fully Aware That The LSU Passing Offense is The Most Perfect Offense To Win The Heisman Trophy Award.

The LSU Passing Offensive Staff Has Had Their Eyes Set on Max Johnson and T.J. Finley For Nearly Two Years. Then, on Wednesday of Early Signing Day, Max Johnson Committed to Both LSU Offensive Coordinator Steve Ensminger and LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron.

“Max Did Not Want To-Go to The Florida State Seminoles, Because of Me,” Said Brad Johnson, Who Played For The Seminoles From 1988-1991. Max is Also The Nephew of Former Georgia Bulldogs Head Football Coach Mark Richt and Also Head Football Coach of The Miami Hurricanes.”

In addition to The LSU Tigers, Johnson Received Scholarship Offers From Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.

Max Johnson Had an Incredible Senior Season at Watkinsville Oconee County High School as He Recorded 157 Completions For 2,143-Yards with a 66% Completion Percentage Rate, and 30 Touchdown Passes. Johnson Also Scored 7 Rushing Touchdowns.

With His Tremendous Senior Season, Johnson Was Awarded The Georgia Region 8-AAAA Player of The Year Award. For His High School Career, He Passed For 5,140-Yards and 47 Touchdowns, With 14 Rushing Touchdowns, and Led His Warriors (13-2) To Their First 10 Plus Win Season Since 2001, Won The Regional Championship, and Hosted Their First Ever Playoff Game.

Image result for Max Johnson Photos Brad Johnson Family: Nikki, Max, Brad, and Jake Johnson.

His Younger Brother, Jake Johnson, Was Also Named to The Georgia Athletic Coaching Association 4A All-State Team And Already Has Scholarship Offers, Including LSU, Auburn, Georgia, East Carolina, FSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.

Super Quarterback T.J. Finley (#11) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana Was The First Commitment For The LSU Tigers Head Coach, Ed Orgeron in The 2020 Recruiting Class and T.J. Finley is Also The Very First Member of This Incredible LSU Tigers Signing Class To-Suit-Up With The LSU Tigers on Their Practice Field.

In 2020, On Wednesday Morning Of December 18, on The Early National Signing Day Period In Front of a Packed Ponchatoula High School Library and a Live Local Television Audience, T.J. Finley Signed His 2020 National Letters of Intent To Play for The LSU Tigers Next Season.

In Getting a Huge-Jump on Everyone Else, This Massive, Monster Named T.J. Finley (6-6, 257, 4.72, 32, 4.46, 116) Will Get To Watch and Learn From The Heisman Trophy Award Winning Quarterback Joe Burrow as a Senior For Several Weeks During Spring Training and Spring Drills.

Finley Also Was on The LSU Tigers Practice Field and Taking Part in The LSU Tigers Bowl Game Practices Ever Since The Very First Day After He Signed His National Letters of Intent.

Ever Since That First Day That He Attended The LSU Tigers Bowl Game Practices, And Taking Part in The Drills, Various LSU Tiger Coaching Staff and Fans Have Been Unbelievably Very Impressed With His Tremendous Strength, Tremendous Passing Skills, and Also The Way That The Football Jumps Out of His Hand.

Coach Orgeron and Offensive Coordinator Steve Ensminger Used This Early Period To Acclimate Finley to The Speed of The LSU Practices, So That He Would Be Ready When Spring Training Began in March.

Finley Was The Top Quarterback in The State of Louisiana in 2019 and As a Senior, He Completed 173 Passes Out of 305 Attempts For 2,838-Yards and 22 Touchdowns. Finley Also Rushed For Another 8 Touchdowns and Was Named as The First Team All-District 6-5A Quarterback. Finley Also Demonstrated a Tremendous Accuracy at The All-American Bowl National Combine and He Was Also a Standout in The All-American 7-on7 Bowl Game With Some Outstanding Throws.

As a Junior, Finley Passed for 2,736-Yards and 23 Touchdown Passes and 5 Rushing Touchdowns, Giving Him 28 Total Touchdowns. Finley Finished His Three-Year Varsity Career and Three-Year Starting Quarterback With 7,357-Yards of Total Offense and 58 Touchdowns. Finley Was Coached at Ponchatoula High School By One of My Old Coaching Friends, Hank Tierney.

One Day Finley Was a Ponchatoula High School Senior and The Next Day He Was an  LSU Tiger Quarterback. Finley Competed Immediately With Fellow LSU Tiger Early Freshman Quarterback, Max Johnson, and They Both Are Facing The Possibility of Succeeding Joe Burrow as The LSU Tigers Best Starting Quarterback in LSU Tiger History.

How Similar and Ironic is The Second Game of The #1 Quarterback in The State of Louisiana, T.J. Finley, as a Junior and The Last Two Games of The Heisman Trophy Award Winning Quarterback Joe Burrow as a Senior? Well Then, You Be The Judge!

Burrow (#9) Matched These Incredible and Mind-Boggling Stats in His Last Two Games of When He Completed 29 of 39 Passes For 493-Yards and 7 Touchdown Passes and 5 Rushes For Another 21-Yards and 1 Touchdown, Giving Him 514-Yards of Total Offense and 8 Touchdowns in The Oklahoma Sooners Victory. And Then Against The Clemson Tigers, For The National Championship, Burrow Completed 31 of 49 Passes For 463-Yards and 5 More Touchdowns and He Also Rushed 14 Times For Another 58-Yards and Another Touchdown, Giving Him 521-Yards of Total Offense and 6 Touchdowns In The National Championship Game. Oh Yes! In Those Two Games, Burrow Passed For 956-Yards, Had 12 Touchdowns Passes, Rushed For 79-Yards, and Was Responsible For 1,035-Yards and 14 Touchdowns.

On September 7, 2018, Finley, as a Junior, Completed An Astonishing 20 of 36 Passes For an Incredible and Mind-Boggling 639-Yards Passing and 7 Touchdowns and He Also Rushed For Another 15-Yards and 2 More Touchdowns. You Would Think That This Was Enough, But Finley Also Caught The Winning Two-Point Conversion, Giving Him 657-Yards of Total Offense and Accountable For 56-Points Scored in a 64-63 Victory Over Denham Springs. For This Unbelievable Game, Finley Was Awarded The National Player of The Week Award By The Baton Rouge WAFB Sportsline and The Max Preps Sports Scouting Service.

“Coach Tierney Came Down From The Press-Box and Told Me About My Many Stats and Stuff. I Was Just More Focused On Helping My Teammates To-Get in Position To-Win The Game Other Than Worrying About My Personal Stats and Stuff. I Really Did Not Realize All That Until After The Game Was Over,” said Finley.

“T.J. Has a Great Football IQ and He is an Intense Competitor,” Said Head Coach Hank Tierney. “He Does Not Like To-Throw an Incomplete Pass, Much Less Lose a Football Game.”

“You have to be a Great Leader To Be a Great Quarterback,” Said Finley. “I Feel Like God Put Me in This Situation for a Reason, and I Have Been Working on my “Leadership Skills” Before I get To The Next Level, Where I Am Going to Have to Lead 18, 19, and 20-Year Olds Onto The Football Field Against Teams like Alabama and Geogia With 2 Minutes Left and Driving Them Down The Field For The Victory. They are Going To Have To Trust Me and Be Able To Believe in Me in Doing That,” Said Finley.

Student-athletes of Fall 2019 announced

From Left To Right: Ponchatoula HS Assistant Football Coach Brett Vampran, Honoree, Quarterback T.J. Finley, North Oaks Athletic Trainer Nicholas Owens, and Ponchatoula HS Principal Danny Strickland.

“Ponchatoula Quarterback T.J. Finley Has Played Football for The Green Wave For Three Years and He Is a Tremendous Leader On and Off The Field,” Said Coach Vanpran. “Finley Has a 3.75 GPA and He Encourages His Teammates To Always Be On Time For Practice and Strive To Be The Best Citizens That They Can Be.”

What Will Create a Definite Separation in The LSU Tigers Quarterback Room is Knowing The LSU Playbook and Showing a Great Quarterback Pocket Awareness, Which is a Skill That Joe Burrow Mastered as a Senior. All Three Young Gunslingers Will Bring Something a Little Different to The LSU Tigers Quarterback Table, With Finley Having the The Best and Most Impressive Physical Tools; While Max Johnson Having The Most Valuable Coaching Tips  by His Dad; and Of Course Myles Brennan With The Most Experience.

Image result for Kole Taylor Offers

Tight End Kole Taylor (#7) is Another Unbelievably Incredible Super Freak That Received 27 Scholarship Offers, But The Various Recruiting Services Did Not Ever “Re-Evaluate” or “Re-Rate” Him From a 3-Star To a 4-Star, Although He Should Have Been Honored With a 5-Star Rating. Taylor Is Also A Real Super Freak, On His Highlight Film, Which The Various Recruiting Services Must Have Never Bothered To Watch or “Re-Evaluate” Him.

First of All, Taylor is a 6-7, 232-Pound Super Football Prospect From Grand Junction Central High School in Colorado, But Second of All, Taylor Does Not Play Tight End, as The Various Recruiting Services, Indicated That He Does.

I Was Watching His 2018 Junior Highlight Film and Here Was Kole Taylor, Lining-Up As a Wide Receiver on Every Single Play and Then Making Spectacular Touchdown Pass-Catches. After His First Touchdown Catch, Taylor Made 9 Straight Touchdown Pass-Catches, But Then, All of a Sudden, On Play Number Two, #7 Lined-Up in a Punt Formation on His Own 35-Yard Line and Of Course, Everyone in The Stadium Was Expecting a Normal Punt.

Normally, A Tight End Does Not Line-Up in Punt Formation, Especially For a Fake-Punt, If He is Listed By The Various Recruiting Services, as Running a 4.8 Forty. Then, As Soon As The Ball Was Snapped, I Realized That It Was a Fake-Punt, as Taylor Sprinted Around The Right End and Down The Sideline For an Incredible 50-Yard Touchdown, Dragging The Last Two Defenders With Him Into The End-Zone.

Taylor (6-7, 232, 4.53, 33, 4.34, 118) Recorded 25 Pass-Catches for 331-Yards and 5 Touchdowns During The 2019 Season as a Senior After He Had Grabbed 29 Pass-Catches As a Junior For 510-Yards and 8 Touchdowns. In His Three-Year Career, Taylor Caught 72-Passes For 1,084-Yards and 15 Touchdowns.

As Much as LSU Tiger Fans Talk About Quarterbacks and Receivers at LSU, The Tight End Position Has Been The Biggest Source of Frustration for LSU Tiger Fans For n The Last Few Years. Although The Tigers Started to Use Tight End Foster Moreau and Stephen Sullivan To a Flex Tight End Position, This Position Still Has Been Discussed in The Tigers New Offense

LSU Tiger Tight End Thaddeus Moss Did Not Step onto an LSU Football Field For Two Years and There Were Questions On How Effective He Could Be in 2019. All Moss Did Was To Record The Greatest Season Ever By an LSU Tiger Tight End in LSU Tiger School History and He Then Declared For The 2020 NFL Draft, Leaving a Huge Hole in The Tigers Tight End Depth Chart and Giving Two Super Freshmen Athletic and Versatile Tight End Recruits Arik Gilbert and Kole Taylor a Huge Spot on The LSU Tigers Depth Chart.

Kole Taylor Received 29 Scholarship Offers Including LSU, Arizona State, Auburn, Arkansas, Brigham Young, California, Colorado, Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Princeton, Purdue, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Yale, and UCLA.

The LSU Tigers Signed Both of The Louisiana 5A First Team All-State Wide Receivers in Kayshon Boutte and Koy Moore (#1); and They Also Signed Both of The Louisiana 5A First Team All-State Defensive Tackles in Jaquelin Roy and Jacobian Guillory.

Koy Moore (6-2, 172, 4.46, 37, 4.12, 126) Played For Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana, Just Outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. The Amazing Thing About These Four LSU Tiger Super Stars is The Fact That Although All Four Players Had an Incredible Highlight Film, But Although All Four Players Had an Outstanding Player Rating, The Various Recruiting Services Were Never Able To Give Any One of Them a Consensus 5-Star Player Rating.

When Koy Moore Was Named as The MVP of The Opening Regional Super Combine Camp in March 2019, The Various Recruiting Services Should Have Re-Evaluated Him and Re-Rated Him as a 5-Star Rating. Then This 5-Star Rating Would Have Been Documented When He Helped Lead His Rummel High School Team Win The 2019 Division I Allstate Suger Bowl LHSAA Non-Select High School State Championship, After Leading Them To The State Championship in 2018. Moore Was Also Selected To-Play in The 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl

Although Boutte, Roy, and Guillory Were Consensus 5-Stars or 4-Stars, They Were Either a 5-Star or a 4-Star, But The Unbelievable Thing About Moore Was That After Evaluating His Stats and Highlight Film, None of The The Various Recruiting Services Could Make a Consensus Evaluation, as He Was Given a 5-Star, 4-Star, and a 3-Star.

Moore is One of The Top Wide Receivers in The Country and He Actually Received His First of 24 Scholarship Offers From Nicholls State University. His lack of Weight Means That He Would Probably Be Used Primarily as a Slot Receiver, Where His Weigh Would Not Be So Physically Important as it Would be For an Outside Receiver.

Moore Finished his Career With 93 Pass-Catches For 1,254-Yards Receiving and 8 Touchdowns and Averaged 13.5-Yards Per Touch. Moore Did Not Have Spectacular Career Stats, But He Was a Sensational Super Combine Freak and This is Where The LSU Tigers Found Him.

Moore With Coach Orgeron Committed to The LSU Tigers In The Middle of August of 2018 After Taking an LSU Tigers Official Visit in April 2018, As He Attended An LSU Tigers Junior Day and Consequently The LSU Tigers Skills Team Camp in Year 2018.

The LSU Tigers Made Their Move on Koy Moore On Sunday of The LSU Tigers Skills Camp by Extending a Scholarship Offer To Him as He Caught The Watchful Eyes of The LSU Tigers Head Coach Ed Orgeron and The LSU Tigers Wide Receivers Coach Mickey Joseph. Moore Had Also Drawn The Attention of Coach Joseph, Back When He Was Evaluating Ja’Marr Chase.

Moore was Spectacular in The Morning Session of The LSU Tigers Skills Camp. He worked Under The Attention of Coach Ed Orgeron, LSU Offensive Coordinator Steve Ensminger, and Coach Mickey Joseph and The Entire LSU Offensive Coaching Staff  Needed To-See Him.

Moore is Not a Speed-Burner, But He Is Much Faster, On His Highlight Film  in The Forty Than He Has Exhibited in Super Combines, But He Has Freaky Quickness in The Pro-Shuttle With a 4.12 Clocking or Better. Moore, However, is One of The Best Route-Runners That I Have Ever Seen and He is Masterful in Finding Open-Holes in The Defense. He Also Has Incredible Hands and He Rarely, If Ever, Drops The Football.

“I Run The Best Pass Routes in The Country, So I Think That Playing In The Slot is The Most Perfect Position For Me To Play,” Moore said. “I Can Get Open Quickly and Find Holes in The Red-Zone Better Than Anyone Else in The Country. I Think The Slot Will Be Perfect.”

“I Remember Catching a Go-Ball and I Ran Into The Trash-Can and I Still Caught The Ball. It helped Me To-Learn To-Catch in a Traffic. It’s Pretty Crazy, From a Small Town To Playing on One of The Biggest Stages in The Country. I Learned That Everything Is Not Gonna Come Easy. I was Taught The Right Way To Play Football. I Am So Happy That Coach Mickey Joseph Saw Something In Me Before I Started Playing Varsity Football.”

“Koy Moore is a Game-Changer When He is On The Football Field,” Said Rummel High School Head Coach Nick Monica. “Koy Has Really Strong Hands. Anytime That The Football is in The Air, The Majority of The Time, He Is Coming-Down With it,” said Monica.

“What Athletes Like Koy Do is That Sometimes You Can Get Those Game-Changer Plays Where You Sometimes Do Not Have To X-and-O. Koy is Good Enough Where He Can Out-Jump, or Go-Up and Get The Football Where There is Not Much Scheme Involved. Just Let a Playmaker, Like Koy, To Just Go Make a Game-Changer Play, and Koy has The Ability To Do Just That.”

Koy Moore Received 24 Scholarship Offers, Including LSU, Southern Cal, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Rutgers, Memphis State, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Nicholls State, Oregon, Tennessee, Tulane, Houston, Southern Miss, UTSA,  and UNLV.

Image result for Marcus Dumervil Photos

The LSU Tigers Were in Dire Need For An Incredible Offensive Tackle Who Was Such a Super Freak, That He Cold Come-In And Play in The 2020 Football Season Against All-American Defensive Players in The SEC ConferenceThe LSU Tigers Offensive Line Coach James Cregg Was The Main Coach In-Need and Coach Cregg Closed On His Super Offensive Tackle Marcus Dumervil (#213) by Securing a Huge LSU Verbal Commitment On ESPN Sports During The Early National Signing Day Period, in December.

Dumervil Is Another Super Freak On His Highlight Film and He Was The Highest Ranked Offensive Tackle That Was Still Available In The Early National Signing Day Period. In 2020, The Early National Signing Day Period Was From Wednesday, December 18 to Friday, December. 20 and In Those Three Days, Over 80% of All College Football Prospects Signed Their 2020 National Letters of Intent.

Dumervil Was Selected To The Max-Preps All-American Team as He Helped Lead His Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, Florida Team To an Undefeated 14-0 Record, Including The 7A FHSAA Florida State Championship Game.

Before Dumervil Signed With The LSU Tigers, He Had Two More Games In High School To Play. His Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders Were Going To Play In The GEICO State Champions Bowl Game Against The Hawaii Saint Louis Team In Las Vegas In The GEICO State Championship Bowl Game Series and Then, Dumervil Was Going To Play in The Under Armour All-American Bowl on January 2, 2020.

On Saturday, Before He Signed With The LSU Tigers, Dumervil Helped Pave The Way For His Raiders Rushing Attack as The Raiders Won The 7A FHSAA Florida State Championship Game. In Doing-So, Dumervil Was Selected To The 7A FHSAA Florida All-State Team and Also The Sun Sentinel Super 11 Florida Team.

This Super Freak All-American Offensive Tackle Had an Incredible 46 Scholarship Offers, Including LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Arizona, Baylor, Boston College, Cincinnati, Clemson, East Carolina, Florida, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Southern Miss, Ohio State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USF, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Folks! I’m Sorry. When a Player Gets 46 Scholarship Offers, Leads His Team To The 7A FHSAA Florida State Championship, Is Selected To Various All-America Teams, and Plays in The Celebrated and Honorable Under Armour All-American Bowl, This Player is An Automatic 5-Star Player, but This Super Freak Was Never Re-Evaluated or Re-Rated From a 4-Star To a 5-Star.

Image result for Boyd Epley Photos

Before I Put My Original MEARS RATING SYSTEM Into Action, I decided that it needed a “Little Tweaking” and so I Called My Old Friend and Mentor, The Legendary and Long-Time Strength Coach and Genius, Boyd Epley. Before Coach Epley (In Photo Above) was hired by The Legendary Nebraska Cornhuskers Head Coach and Athletic Director Bob Devaney in September 1969, as The Cornhuskers Strength and Conditioning Coach, College Football Teams in America Did Not Have Strength and Conditioning Coaches and this Type of Coach Was a Non-Existent Coach.

“Max, We Have Got To-Set a Standard For Every Position For Every Set of Measurables. The Standard For an Offensive Tackle, Has Always Been 6-5 and 275 for Forty Years and Although the Players are always getting Bigger, Stronger, and Faster, We D0 Not Need To-Keep Changing The Medium Standard, said Coach Epley, “But our MEARS RATINGS will Always Continue to get Higher as the Players Will Achieve to get Bigger, Stronger, and Faster.”

This Formula is Based on Each Individual Position and is Based on a MEDIUM STANDARD for Each Position for Every Test or Measurable in an NFL SUPER COMBINE. So Each Position Has a Standard for Each Test and Measurable. A player Will Receive Plus Points for Every Tenth of a Second Over The Position Standard, But Also a Maximum of 400 Points. Example: Trent Williams ran a 4.79 Forty and The standard For an Offense Lineman is 5.3, so he Received The Maximum 400 Points For The Forty.

“Quarterbacks, Offensive Linemen, and Kickers Are Always Going to be Difficult To Measure, But Must Be Evaluated Very Carefully on His Highlight Film or in Person and Then Their MEARS RATING is Going to be Estimated. Max, You Will Learn How To-Evaluate Them and Give Them an Honest and a Highly Deserving MEARS RATING.”

Marlon Martinez (#77) Is Still Another Incredible Offensive Lineman, Who Was Unbelievably “Under-Rated” By The Various Recruiting Services. I’m Sorry Folks, But This Guy is One of The Most Amazing Offensive Lineman Super Freaks That I Have Ever Evaluated on His Highlight Film.

First of All, Martinez is A Super Freak On His Highlight Film and Second of All, He Received Over 30 Scholarship Offers, Including Six Major Powerhouses, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky in The SEC, and Another 16 Powerhouse Teams in The Power Five, Including Arizona, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Missouri, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

I Can Not Remember Seeing An Offensive Tackle That Was So Dominating on His Highlight Film. On His Highlight Film, Martinez, Using His Incredible 4.69 Quickness in The Pro-Shuttle, Was Incredible and His Run-Blocking Was Amazing as He Made a “Pancake-Block” On Every Single Run-Block, Including A “Pancake-Block” on His First Nine Blocks, Before He Made a Pass-Block on a Passing Play. Then on His Next Five Plays, He Made another “Pancake-Block” Before Ending The Highlight Film With An Unbelievable Six More “Pancake-Blocks” Before The Film Was Over!

Three St Thomas Aquinas All-Americans That Participated In The Under Armour All-American Bowl Game Included WR Marcus Rosemy (#81), OT Marcus Dumervil (#58), and OG Marlon Martinez (#56).

Martinez, Dumervil, and Rosemy Helped Lead Their Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, Florida Team To an Undefeated 14-0 Record, Including The 7A FHSAA Florida State Championship Game.

Before Martinez and Dumervil Signed With The LSU Tigers, and Rosemy Signed With The Georgia Bulldogs, They Had Two More Games In High School Football To Play. Their Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders Were Going To Play In The GEICO State Champions Bowl Game Against The Hawaii Saint Louis Team In Las Vegas In The GEICO State Championship Bowl Game Series and Then, They All Were Also Going To Play in The Under Armour All-American Bowl on January 2, 2020.

On Saturday, Before They Signed With The LSU Tigers, Martinez and Dumervil Helped Pave The Way For Their Raiders Rushing Attack as The Raiders Won The 7A FHSAA Florida State Championship Game. In Doing-So, Both Martinez and Dumeril Were Selected To The 2019 7A FHSAA Florida All-State First Team, While Rosemy Was Selected To The Second Team. Both Linemen Also Made The Sun Sentinel Super 11 2019 Florida Team.

OK! I Am Sorry Folks, But Does Marlon Martinez Sound Like a 3-Star Rated Player or a 5-Star Rated Player, or Does He Sound Similar To His Past and Present Teammate, Marcus Dumervil, Who Has All of The Similar Honors and Awards, Because They Both Look and Sound Like 5-Star Players.

The LSU Tigers Head Coach, Ed Orgeron Feels The Same Way That I Do About Marlon Martinez and The Various Recruiting Services, Because Coach “O” Really Likes This Kid Martinez and He Does Not Put Much Stock Into The Recruiting Rankings.

“This Kid Might Not Be Rated High, On The Record, But I Do Not Care About His Recruiting Ranking,” Said Coach Orgeron. “I Feel Like Everyone That He Has Visited In The SEC Has Him as a Top Scholarship Priority For Them Personally, Regardless of What His Rankings or What Other Assistant Coaches Have To Say.”

This Does Not Mean That The Various Recruiting Service Recruiting Rankings Are Not Really Important, But The Various Recruiting Services Miss on A Lot of Players. However, They Do Get Many Players Right And The Power Five Teams Are The programs That Are Competing For The National Championships and Are The Typical Schools Recruiting The Top Classes.

About maxemfingerrecruiting

My mission and goal is to search for that hidden high school football talent that has not been found yet. I then evaluate him and try to help him to get some publicity. In 2003, 2004, 2005. and 2006, I hosted my Annual 7on7 National Championship. My goal was to get great athletes to one area where I could evaluate them and then help them with college coaches. The only drawback was that college coaches wanted to see the hidden gems in a game-type highlight film and so the college coaches suggested to me that I host a real All-American Bowl Game so that they could view these talented players in a highlight film, playing against other talented players. It's noted that the NCAA doesn't allow the college coaches to attend All-American Games or practices and so the Game Film is a great tool for the college coaches. In 2005, I hosted my 1st Annual All-American Bowl Game. In nine games in nine years, my wife and I have helped 549 HS football players to get a scholarship that came to our first Bowl Game practice without a single scholarship offer. This also does not count over 1,000 players who we have helped that did not play in our game, including over 100 players in the 2010 Recruiting Season. My Super Elite Top Gun Camp idealogy, is of course, to get as many Top Football Players to a Top Gun Camp so that all of my coaches and I can evaluate them, rate them, rank them, and promote them. There will always be "Diamonds in the Rough" to be found. My First Annual Max Emfinger's Super Elite Top Gun Camp was in July of 2010. The Camp was amazing and loaded with unknown and known talent. Many of them were invited to play in our 2011 All-American Bowl Game Classic. In 2007, in my 3rd Annual All-American Bowl Game, a player by the name of Kareem Jackson came to our first Monday practice, without a single scholarship offer. Jackson decided to come out early and he became a #1 Draft Choice in the 2010 NFL Draft for the Houston Texans.
