2018 NFL DRAFT TOP 50; 65 SPECIAL SLEEPERS; AND 70 SUPER RECEIVERS!

SUPER SCOUT NOTE: Three Weeks ago, when I started this NFL Draft Evaluation Story on all of the Incredible Wide Receivers that were Preparing for The NFL Draft, I was going to Highlight either 20 or 25 Players. Then I decided to Give a Sneak Preview of The Super 16 of the Top Players. After Evaluating so many Players and Finding so many Great Players; I NOW have my Super 75 Wide Receivers, Top 50 NFL Players, and My Super 60 Sleepers for The 2018 NFL Draft. I Sincerely hope you Enjoy it and can use it on Draft Day. Good Luck on Draft Day!

There were some Really Impressive Measurables at The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, but I was Very Disappointed in many of The Performances of Most of The Top Wide Receivers at The Scouting Combine. Most All of The Wide Receivers in THE BLUE CHIP MEARS RATINGS were Some of The Best Wide Receivers in The Country on The Football Field in 2017 and They are All are Rated as such, by The NFL Scouts and NFL Analysis Scouts.

Those Super-Star Wide Receivers Included Top Draft Choices like Calvin Ridley, D. J. CharkDaeSean Hamilton, Christian Kirk, Anthony Miller, Keke Coutee, Dante Pettis, D.J. Moore, Cedric WilsonDarren Carrington, Dylan Cantrell, and James Washington. Each one of these Receivers were Selected to Several of my Weekly MVP Awards During The 2017 Football Season. All of These Stars did Extremely Well in The Scouting Combine Drills, but they did not do Extremely Well in One or Two of The Speed and Strength Measurables.

Some of them, however, did improve some of their Speed Measurables in Their Pro-Day, including Miller, CantrellKirk and Washington.

Since I was Really Disappointed with Most of these Wide Receiver Ratings, I Decided To-Tweak the Wide Receivers Bench Press Standard to a 5  from a 10, making it as the same as The Cornerback Standard which most of them play on Defense. I also Decided to Lower The Linebacker Bench Press Standard from a 15 to a 10.

With these Two Tweaks, most all of the Wide Receivers and Linebackers were given Plus Points and were able to “Move-Up” into another MEARS RATING Group.

If I was being Totally Honest, I would have to say that This 2018 NFL Crop of Wide Receivers was Tremendously Outstanding, but a Little Under-Whelming, in their Pre-Combine Preparation, including Ridley, Sutton, Kirk, Hamilton, Coutee, and Washington. Some were injured at The Scouting Combine, including Pettis, Miller, and Washington. All of these Guys had Tremendous Senior Seasons and were Highly Rated by The NFL Scouts, but most of them were “Under-Achievers” or Injured at The Scouting Combine.

All of these Wide Receivers were Outstanding during their Season, but Chalk, Miller, and Moore were Incredible on their Highlight Film and all Three Players were able To-Made THE SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING. Chalk and Moore were Measurable Freaks at The Scouting Combine; and although Miller was Injured at The Scouting Combine; Miller was Incredible at Their Memphis Pro-Day.

Miller joined “The Incredible D.J. Team” of  D.J. Chark of LSU and D.J. Moore of Maryland. Chark Recorded a 2,833 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING and just Behind him was Moore with a 2,830 SUPER GOLD CHIP RATING, and Miller of Memphis with a 2,822 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING.

I still Really like Ridley, Kirk, Sutton, Coutee, Pettis, and Washington, but all of them had at least one or two “Weak Measurables” and although they all Received Outstanding Coaching Points, they could not get to the 2,800 SUPER GOLD MEARS RATING POINTS. They all, however, have All the Potential to be a #1 or #2 NFL Draft Choice.

Eight Other Sensational Super Speedy Sleeper Ball-Catchers!

There were Eight Other Unbelievable and Amazing Wide Receivers who were not Invited to The 2018 Scouting Combine, but they Recorded some “Mind-Boggling” and Incredible Measurables and are Leaders on our SUPER SPECIAL SLEEPERS . Those Seven Wide Receivers that were Fabulous on Their Pro-Day included Jonah Trinnaman of Brigham YoungJeff Badet of Oklahoma; Daurice Fountain of Northern Iowa; Justin Watson of Penn; Derrick Willies of Texas Tech; Cameron Batson of Texas Tech; Sneed Blacknall of Penn State; and then; Deontez Alexander of Franklin.

Then on Ball State Pro Day, a Young Man from Franklin College, by the Name of Deontez Alexander, Showed-Up for their Pro Day, to the Total-Delight of all of The NFL Scouts and Ball State Players and Coaches. Franklin College is a Division III School located in Franklin, Indiana. At The Ball State Pro Day, Alexander (6-2, 196) Shocked The NFL Scouts with some Incredible Speed and Jumping Measurables, including a 4.35 Forty and a 4.1 Shuttle Speed Measurables; plus a 37.5-Inch Vertical Jump and a 130-Inch Standing Broad Jump his Athletic and Jumping Measurables.

In his Two Seasons with the Grizzlies, Alexander (#3) was Pretty Incredible as he Recorded 114 Catches for 2,133-Yards with 33 Touchdowns and an Outstanding 18.7-Yards Per Catch Average. In 2017, Alexander Recorded 50 Catches for 1,133-Yards and 18 Touchdowns and an Incredible 22.6-Yards Per Catch Average.

Before The Pro Day Combine, Alexander was Probably going to be a Un-Draftable Free Agent, but after The Pro Day Combine, he was able to Highly Impress several NFL Teams and NFL Scouts, including The Green Bay Packers, The San Francisco 49ers, The Denver Broncos, The Cleveland Browns, The Indianapolis Colts, The Jacksonville Jaguars, The Baltimore Ravens, The Detroit Lions, and The Oakland Raiders.

Two Original Super-Stars, Calvin Ridley of Alabama and Christian Kirk of Texas A&M were able “To-Move-Up” from their SUPER BLUE CHIP RATING to a GOLD CHIP RATING. Ridley moved to a 2,773 GOLD CHIP RATING; while Kirk Moved-Up to a 2,753 GOLD CHIP RATING.

Chark First Recorded a 2,753 GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING, but Moved-Up to a 2,833 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING, after The Bench Press Tweak; while D.J. Moore Moved-Up from a 2,650 SUPER BLUE CHIP MEARS RATING to a 2,830 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING.

Some of these Measurables by Chark, Moore, Badet, Fountain, and Watson were So Impressive to The NFL Teams and Scouts, that they are now Really Being  “Buzzed-About” in Preparation for The 2018 Draft.

Those Five Super-Stars were able To-Put Together Some Pretty impressive Measurables together and Finished with a Really Outstanding SUPER GOLD CHIP or GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING.

Also, Remember that in This Same 2018 NFL Draft Class; Running Back Saquon Barkley of Penn State Recorded an Incredible 2,906 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING and Cornerback Denzel Ward of Ohio State Recorded another Incredible 2,876 SUPER GOLD CHIP MEARS RATING.

Maryland Super Wide Receiver D.J. Moore and Penn State Super Tight End Mike Gesicki!

2018 SCOUTING COMBINE

SCOUTING NOTE I: If the Player did not Participate in The Scouting Combine Measurables or If he Improved his Measurable at His Pro-Day,  I Listed that Measurable in Blue. If he was Injured at both The Combine and Pro Day, I gave him his “Best-Ever” in that Measurable.

SCOUTING NOTE II: Although The MEARS RATINGS are Based on a Player and his Measurables in Relationship to a Set Standard for his Position, there are also Coaches Evaluation Points that are also Very Important. I have Evaluated every Player in These Top Players process and although every Player received 100 or 200 Evaluation Points, some Players with Weak Measurables were Absolute Freaks on their Highlight Film or in The Super Scouting Combine or Pro Day Drills and consequently were given Extra Evaluation Points.

SCOUTING NOTE III: RB/RET Saquon Barkley and Denzel Ward might be Two of the Most Incredible Football Players to ever be Drafted. Barkley, is not only a Sensational Football Player, he is the First NFL Player in a 17-Year History of THE MEARS RATING to Reach The 2,900 MEARS RATING PLATEAU as he Reached Maximum Points in Every Single Speed and Strength Measurable.

2018 NFL DRAFT 55 SPECIAL SLEEPERS

All of These Special Sleepers were Evaluated with a “Little-Different” Process than All of These Top NFL Players, because some of These Special Sleepers would Rate Higher than These Top Rated NFL Players.

We will Start with a Defensive Freak Named Kendall Donnerson of SE Missouri State who Competed with Saquan Barkley who Broke The MEARS RATING RECORD at The 2018 Scouting Combine.

Image result for Kendall Donnerson Pictures

At Southeast Missouri State, The Incredible Athletic Trio of EDGE Rusher Kendall Donnerson, CB Mike Ford, and OLB Chad Meredith were not invited to The Scouting Combine, but they were Unbelievably Athletic at some Various Amazing Pro Days at some Off-Campus Pro DaysAll three Players did Off-Campus Pro Days, with Donnerson and Ford at Missouri Western Pro Day and Meredith at Louisville Pro Day.

Donnerson decided to “Stand-On”  his Missouri Western Pro Day Incredible Measurables while Ford decided to go “Full-Speed”  again at SEMO. Ford (5-11, 190) Recorded a 4.4 Forty; a 4.15 Pro Shuttle; a 40-Inch Vertical Jump; and an Incredible 132-Inch Standing Broad Jump.

Super EDGE Rusher Donnerson (6-3, 249) Ran a 4.43 Forty; did a 40-Inch Vertical Jump; a 4.37 Pro Shuttle; did a 131-Inch Standing Broad Jump; and 20 Reps on The Bench Press. His Forty, Vertical Jump, Pro Shuttle, and Standing Broad Jump are All Numbers that would have led all of The EDGE Rushers at The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine; which has The Attention of Most All of The NFL Scouts.

Donnerson is Probably a “Little-Raw” but with Incredible Athletic Talent to Help any NFL Football Team Better with his First Game. Projected as a Free Agent which is Laughable.

Image result for Jonah trinnaman Photos

Brigham Young Super-Star Wide Receiver Jonah Trinnaman (#3 In Photo) is hoping that he will get the The Call from One of The NFL Teams on NFL Draft Day, on April 26-28 and although he did not get an Invite to NFL The Scouting Combine, he “Put-Up” some “Mind-Boggling” Measurables at The BYU Pro Day“I think The Bears had me at a 4.25 in the Forty,” Trinnaman said in a Pro Day Interview. Trinnaman also said that The Bears took him out to Dinner after his Pro Day.

If Trinnaman had been Invited to The NFL Scouting Combine and ran his Official 4.26 Forty, he would have been the Fastest Player at The Combine. Top 50 Cornerback Denzel Ward of Ohio State; Donte Jackson of LSU; and Parry Nickerson of Tulane ran a 4.32 Forty and were the Fastest Players at The Combine.

Trinnaman began his College Career at Snow Junior College in Utah and in 2015, he was Selected to The NJCAA First-Team All-America Special Teams as an Unbelievable Kick Returner as he Returned Three Kickoffs for a Touchdown, including a 99-Yard Return for Touchdown.

Image result for Matthew Thomas Football Photos

Super-Star Inside Linebacker Matthew Thomas (#13) is an Athletic Freak and it’s impossible for me to believe that he would be Projected To Be Drafted in the Sixth or Seventh Round of  The NFL Draft. Thomas ran a 4.44 at The Florida State Pro Day after he had run a 4.29 Pro Shuttle at The Scouting Combine and he now has all of The NFL Scouts Buzzing.

Image result for Leon Jacobs Photos

Leon Jacobs (#32) was Outstanding on his Highlight Film and he was Invited to The Scouting Combine where he was One of The Most Impressive Linebackers. His 4.48 in The Forty Ranked Second in Linebackers behind Shaquen Griffin and his Famous 4.38 and his 26 Reps on the Bench Press Tied for Third Among all Edge-Rushers. It’s Difficult to Believe that Leon Jacobs would be Projected in Round #6.

About maxemfingerrecruiting

My mission and goal is to search for that hidden high school football talent that has not been found yet. I then evaluate him and try to help him to get some publicity. In 2003, 2004, 2005. and 2006, I hosted my Annual 7on7 National Championship. My goal was to get great athletes to one area where I could evaluate them and then help them with college coaches. The only drawback was that college coaches wanted to see the hidden gems in a game-type highlight film and so the college coaches suggested to me that I host a real All-American Bowl Game so that they could view these talented players in a highlight film, playing against other talented players. It's noted that the NCAA doesn't allow the college coaches to attend All-American Games or practices and so the Game Film is a great tool for the college coaches. In 2005, I hosted my 1st Annual All-American Bowl Game. In nine games in nine years, my wife and I have helped 549 HS football players to get a scholarship that came to our first Bowl Game practice without a single scholarship offer. This also does not count over 1,000 players who we have helped that did not play in our game, including over 100 players in the 2010 Recruiting Season. My Super Elite Top Gun Camp idealogy, is of course, to get as many Top Football Players to a Top Gun Camp so that all of my coaches and I can evaluate them, rate them, rank them, and promote them. There will always be "Diamonds in the Rough" to be found. My First Annual Max Emfinger's Super Elite Top Gun Camp was in July of 2010. The Camp was amazing and loaded with unknown and known talent. Many of them were invited to play in our 2011 All-American Bowl Game Classic. In 2007, in my 3rd Annual All-American Bowl Game, a player by the name of Kareem Jackson came to our first Monday practice, without a single scholarship offer. Jackson decided to come out early and he became a #1 Draft Choice in the 2010 NFL Draft for the Houston Texans.
