WITH SO MUCH RAIN AND FLOODING, 2016 HS FOOTBALL HAS BEEN STRANGE!

I live in Plaquemine, Louisiana and although Plaquemine has not Flooded like it did in the Baton Rouge Central, Baton Rouge Woodlawn, and in the Denham Springs Area, we have had To Endure Rain every single day for over 30 Days and it’s Raining Right Now in Plaquemine.

On the Last Weekend in August, in the Baton Rouge Area, it Rained almost all day, but there were 12 Really Great Football Jamborees. Some were on Friday and some were on Saturday and so I had to make some tough decisions on which ones that I wanted to attend.

I definitely wanted to see the Summer 7on7 Super-Star Quarterback Patrick Arnold (6-4, 200, 4.6); Super-Star Running Back Larry Green (5-9, 185, 4.42, 36, 4.16); and Super Star Flanker Tywon Buckley (6-4, 200, 4.5, 39, 4.2, 124) at Baton Rouge Tara. The Tara Offensive Coordinator, Coach C.J. Maiden, is one of my All-American Bowl Game Coaches and he had been telling me about how these three Great Players were and “Flying Under the Radar” with College Coaches and Recruiting Services. Due to the Flooding in his area, Buckley had just Transferred to Tara.

On Friday Night, Four Weeks Ago, in the East Baton Rouge Kickoff Classic, Tara played Baton Rouge Glen Oaks in Two-Twelve Minute Quarters after the McKinnley and Baton Rouge Woodlawn Game at Flood-Stricken Woodlawn Stadium.

Then on the Following Saturday Night, in the Corey Webster Foundation Classic, a Very Talented Madison Prep Team played Baker and then played another Very Talented Team, in 2015 1A State Champion Southern Lab. I definitely wanted to see that Madison Prep and Southern Lab Game.

I have been to almost every Football Stadium in the Baton Rouge Area, but it has been a few years since I have been to the Woodlawn Football Stadium and on Friday Night, I got lost. So when I finally got to the Woodlawn Football Stadium, it looked like about a Thousand People were waiting to get into the Stadium. I had to walk about a Mile to get into the Stadium, but I finally made it.

With all of this Rain in this Woodlawn Area, there was obvious a lot of Flood Damage. I did not take the above Flood Damage Photo, but when I got lost trying to find the Stadium, this is exactly what I saw on Friday Night and on the following Sunday, I did go back to this Woodlawn Area and took some Great Photos. The Photos  I took were in the Maison Orleans Sub-Division and Antioch and Profit Avenue.

Then, On the following Saturday, it Rained again all day in Plaquemine, but I was hoping and Praying that it was not Raining in Baton Rouge or that it would stop before the Games Started. So when I left Plaquemine, it was still Raining. There were a lot of Talented Players on both the Madison Prep and Southern Lab Teams, but just before this game, the Southern Lab Team played Baker.

Southern Lab drove 80-Yards in Five Plays to Score the only Touchdown of the Game, culminating in a Beautiful 20-Yard Quick Slant Touchdown Pass from Junior QB Quincy Fillmore to Super-Star WR Xavier Bell (5-9, 170, 4.33) to put Southern Lab ahead 6-0. Then, Super-Star DE/FB Shannon Forman (6-2, 265, 4.7) ran for the Two-Point Conversion to make the Final Score at 8-0.

After Madison Prep beat Baker 22-8 and Southern Lab beat them 8-0; the Big Game of the night for the Corey Webster Championship was going to be Great. The Key to that Game was probably going to be Madison Prep Super-Star QB Edwin Kleinpeter (6-2, 223, 4.6) who completed 6 of 7 Passes for 117-Yards and a Touchdown in the First Game or his Super-Star WR Brian Savoie (#3 Below), who Caught Four Passes for 61-Yards and a Touchdown.

So the Big Game got Started and with only 7:18 Left in the Game, Madison Prep Kicker Keyonne Hawkins Kicked a 21-Yard Field Goal for a 3-0 Lead. A few plays later, Southern Lab Junior Super-Star WR Cameron Thomas (6-4, 210, 4.5) Caught an Incredible 80-Yard Touchdown Pass from Junior QB Fillmore (6-0, 170, 4.8) to give Southern Lab a 8-3 Lead after their Two-Point Conversion was good, and then there was only 6:21 Left in the Game.

What happened next, you will not believe. You can go to a Hundred Games and NEVER see what just happened on the very next play. Remember the previous play was an 80-Yard Touchdown Pass. So with 6:06 Left, Madison Prep gets the Football back on the 20-Yard Line and Kleinpeter hit his Favorite Receiver Savoie on another Unbelievable 80-Yard Touchdown Pass witch makes Two Consecutive 80-Yard Touchdown Passes and after the Extra Point Kick, Madison Prep Lead 10-8 and that was also the Final Score.

Kleinpeter and Savoie were Incredible, but they were not the only Super-Stars that I really liked. Two Offensive Linemen: OT E’Darius Anderson (6-4, 320, 5.1) and OC Donell Hendrix (6-3, 335, 5.3); Two Defensive Linemen: DE Bryan Jones (6-6, 255, 4.6) and DE Troy James (6-3, 265, 4.6); Two Wide Receivers: Brian Savoie (5-9, 175, 4.33) and Lyndon Rash (6-1, 186, 4.42); and Two Defensive Backs who are Brothers: including FS Tazmine Walker (6-3, 190, 4.45) and Junior CB/RB Tyrese Walker (5-9, 175, 4.45) who both made two of the Hardest Hitting Tackles of the game. Jones is Committed to Ole Miss and James is Committed to Kansas.

Four Southern Lab Defensive Players were Outstanding, including NG/DT Chad Brown (6-1, 285, 4.94) who made Six Tackles; DE Shannon Forman (6-2, 285, 4.8) who also had Six Tackles and 3 Quarterback Hurries; OLB Cameron Williams (6-1, 220, 4.6) who had a Key Fumble Recovery and Numerous Tackles; and CB Da’Vonte White (6-1, 180, 4.42) who made plays all over the Field. Bell was also Outstanding on Defense.

Two Weeks ago, my plans were to Watch the First Half of the Madison Prep and White Castle Game and then drive back to Plaquemine for the Second Half of the Plaquemine and Port Allen Game. So, I drove to White Castle, only about Five Miles from Plaquemine, to see the Madison Prep and White Castle Game. I got to the 7:00 Game at around 6:00 and had a Great Opportunity to Take some Photos and Talk to the Madison Prep Super-Stars.

Looking back to the 2015 Game, and I was at that GameSavoie Caught Four Passes for an Incredible 285-Yards and Four Touchdowns. In that 48-20 Madison Prep Victory over White Castle, Kleinpeter Completed 8 of 12 Passes for 295-Yards and Four Touchdowns.

This year, Madison Prep Received the Opening Kickoff and on their First Play from Scrimmage, Savoie ran for a 65-yard Touchdown. Then after Recovering a Fumble on the White Castle First Play, Junior RB Tyrese Walker Raced 35-Yards for another Touchdown, giving Madison Prep a 14-0 Lead with 11:08 Left in the First Quarter. White Castle Received their Second Kickoff and Two Plays later, White Castle Fumbled again with their Third Fumble and as it started rain, I had seen enough and so I left the Game and Headed back to Plaquemine to see the Second Half of the Plaquemine and Port Allen Game.

2017 Player Brian Savoie II

Before I left White Castle, I must say that White Castle is not without some Great Super-Star Players, including OT Columbus Willis (6-6, 320, 5.3); DE/TE Ja’Tyre Carter (6-6, 250, 4.8); and LB Malik White (6-1, 210, 4.6). I did not get to talk to these Players, but they were very impressive in Pre-Game Warm-Ups, especially Carter.

As I got to the Parking Lot, it stopped Raining and I thought that was a Great Sign, but as I got about halfway back to Plaquemine, it Started to Rain again.  Then, as I got to the Plaquemine City Limits, it was Pouring-Down Rain so hard, I could not see the car in front of me and I went straight home and got to my home at 7:35, but without getting to see Plaquemine RB Kevin Dominique (6-1, 205, 4.42, 43, 3.98) run for 232-Yards and Score Three Touchdowns in a 32-6 Victory over Port Allen.

Then, Last Week, I had Planned to go to the 5A East Saint John Game, at Home, in Reserve, against 2A Madison Prep. I knew that this was going to be a Sensational Game and I did not want to miss it. I had to run some Errands in Baton Rouge, so I left Plaquemine aeound 3:30, thinking I would have plenty of time to get to Reserve.

Along with the Five Players from Madison Prep in our 2017 All-American Bowl Game, East Saint John also had Four or Five Players in our Game, including Super-Star QB Marquise Darensbourg (6-1, 210, 4.56, 36, 4.3); Super-Star WR C.J. Turner (6-2, 185, 4.38, 38, 4.18, 131, 19); FS Shayhan Williams (6-0, 185, 4.42, 36, 4.2); DE Demond Stewart (6-3, 265, 4.7); and NG Myles Meyers (5-2, 315, 5.2).

When I left Plaquemine at 3:30, it was Not Raining, but when I got to Baton Rouge, it started To Rain again. I actually was able to leave Baton Rouge at around 5:30 and I was on Schedule to get to Reserve before the Game started at 7:00, but the closer I got to Reserve on I-10 South to New Orleans, the harder the Rain started coming down. I finally got to Reserve around 7:30 and it was Pouring Down Rain and so I turned around and came back home to Plaquemine.

As in the week before, I missed the 16-14 UPSET Victory for Madison Prep over East Saint John, and I also missed Super-Star Savoie again as he caught a 39-Yard Touchdown from Super-Star Kleinpeter in the First Quarter and then caught another Touchdown Pass of 11-Yards on a  Screen Pass from Kleinpeter.

All of this brings us the Friday Night Games of September 23. Since I did not get to see East Saint John Players play, I originally had decided to go back to Reserve to see them play against H.L. Bourgeois. I had already worked-up my Two Clipboards of Prospects for the two teams in the East Saint John Game, but then my Wife got sick and I decided to stay closer to Home if she needed me.

With this in mind, I decided to go to the Plaquemine and Riverside Game in Plaquemine for the First Half and then go to the Brusly and Donaldsonville Game in nearby Brusly for their Second Half. Both Plaquemine and Brusly already have Players in our 2017 All-American Bowl Game and although I have watched them on their Great Highlight Film, I wanted to see them play in person and maybe get a chance to talk to them.

My wife needed some Medicine and it took me a little longer than I had expected and so I got off from home later than I had wanted. I had already planned to see Plaquemine play against Tara on October 28 and so I headed to Brusly.

When I got to Brusly High School Stadium, there were cars parked everywhere, but I was given a Parking Spot in Handicap Parking, right by the Stadium Entrance Door. The Lady at the Entrance Gate also gave me a Free Game Program and I was Excited and Happy to be at the Brusly Game.

The Main Brusly Player that I wanted to see play was Zavian Bell (6-0, 220, 4.45, 36, 4.2, 120) who plays both Outside Linebacker and Running Back and who I have Invited to Play in our All-American Bowl Game.

There are Four other Teams in the Baton Rouge Area that have some Tremendous, Talented Players, include Scotlandville, Zachary, Parkview Baptist, and Christian Life. Scotlandville and Zachary will play on October 7, and I plan on being at that Game. I also plan on being at the Parkview Baptist Game at Port Allen on November 4.

About maxemfingerrecruiting

My mission and goal is to search for that hidden high school football talent that has not been found yet. I then evaluate him and try to help him to get some publicity. In 2003, 2004, 2005. and 2006, I hosted my Annual 7on7 National Championship. My goal was to get great athletes to one area where I could evaluate them and then help them with college coaches. The only drawback was that college coaches wanted to see the hidden gems in a game-type highlight film and so the college coaches suggested to me that I host a real All-American Bowl Game so that they could view these talented players in a highlight film, playing against other talented players. It's noted that the NCAA doesn't allow the college coaches to attend All-American Games or practices and so the Game Film is a great tool for the college coaches. In 2005, I hosted my 1st Annual All-American Bowl Game. In nine games in nine years, my wife and I have helped 549 HS football players to get a scholarship that came to our first Bowl Game practice without a single scholarship offer. This also does not count over 1,000 players who we have helped that did not play in our game, including over 100 players in the 2010 Recruiting Season. My Super Elite Top Gun Camp idealogy, is of course, to get as many Top Football Players to a Top Gun Camp so that all of my coaches and I can evaluate them, rate them, rank them, and promote them. There will always be "Diamonds in the Rough" to be found. My First Annual Max Emfinger's Super Elite Top Gun Camp was in July of 2010. The Camp was amazing and loaded with unknown and known talent. Many of them were invited to play in our 2011 All-American Bowl Game Classic. In 2007, in my 3rd Annual All-American Bowl Game, a player by the name of Kareem Jackson came to our first Monday practice, without a single scholarship offer. Jackson decided to come out early and he became a #1 Draft Choice in the 2010 NFL Draft for the Houston Texans.
